Xavier Institute of Communication (XIC), Mumbai is an autonomous institute established in the year 1969. The institute was started by ‘The Catholic Bishops' Conference of India to promote scholarship and professionalism in the media sector. It is considered to be among the biggest non-government media centers in Asia and is currently managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) of the Bombay Province.The institute and its faculty have won numerous awards and honours with their brilliance. In a survey conducted by ‘The Week’, XIC bagged 2nd position among the top Mass Communication colleges in India. Another survey which was conducted by the ‘Higher Education Review’, the institute was honoured with the ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for being one of the top 20 promising colleges of media and communications. XIC Mumbai courses are designed with the perfect blend of theories, practical assignments, group projects, and independent research.Keeping in mind the popularity and diversity of the media and communication sector, the institute offers Diploma courses and Certificate courses to the graduates who are planning a career in the respective fields.The students of XIC are much sought after by the reputed media companies, corporate, commercial sector in India and overseas.
