About University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata

University of Engineering & Management Kolkata was established by the Government of West Bengal in 2014. However, the IEM Group has existed in Kolkata since 1989 as the University of Engineering & Management Kolkata at Salt Lake. The Group is highly reckoned in education related to engineering and management with a rich experience of 27 years. West Bengal Legislature passed the IEM Trust, Act No. XXV, 2014, to establish the university in the New Town area of Kolkata. UGC recognises the UEM Kolkata, Ministry of HRD, and Govt. Of India and focuses on Technology, Engineering, and Management with 2 campuses in Kolkata. One campus is known as the New Town campus, and the other is the Ashram building campus. AICTE and Bar Council approve the IEM Institute of India. The University is also recognized by India's University Grants Commission (UGC) and has the right to confer degrees as per section 22 of the UGC Act (1956). The university is promoted by the Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) Trust.UEM Kolkata courses are offered in various programs for undergraduates, Post-graduate and Doctoral courses. University of Engineering & Management Kolkata fee is minimal and appropriate as they understand the importance of education and the dreams of young minds. The institute has won “AAA” category (first 10 institutes nationally among all institutes of India including all IITs and NITs) in NPTEL program (IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai).The educational group has one of the strongest Placement Cells in the country. Right from its inception UEM Kolkata have provided for 1 to 2 jobs on an average for all its students. The same story has been repeated even in the year 2016 with all students of UEM Kolkata getting 1 to 2 job offers on average.

UEM Kolkata admission has started for the 2024 batch. The university offers BTech, BBA, BCA, BBA + LLB, BHM, MTech and MBA courses. For MTech courses, the GATE 2025 admission process will begin on August 24, 2024. The last date to apply for the MAT IBT phase 2 registration process is August 18, 2024, for MBA admissions. A total of 10 BTech specializations are offered. Some of them are artificial intelligence, CSE, ECE, internet of things, etc. The annual fees of UEM Kolkata courses is Rs 1,02,00 to Rs 3,92,500 per annum.

Courses and Fees

UEM Kolkata fees range from Rs 102000 to Rs 320000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 32 courses at UG and PG programmes. Furthermore, UEM Kolkata offers 10 courses in B.Tech, 1 courses in BBA at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specializations - 15 courses in MBA, 3 course in M.Tech. Admission to UEM Kolkata courses are open for the academic year 2025-26. For admission the college conducts MAT. In addition to this, scores of GMAT, TS PGECET, AILET, GATE, CAT, CLAT, NCHM JEE, CMAT, TS EAMCET, LSAT-India, XAT are accepted by UEM Kolkata.
