It was established in the year 1962. The management school has been recognised by UGC and has been approved by AICTE. TSM Madurai has been affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University and has been accredited by various national organisations like NBA and NAAC with “A+” grade. It has also received an ISO 9001:2015 as well as AIU certification. It is also eligible for accreditation through the ACBSP and has been ranked 96th in the management category in the NIRF Ranking 2022. The TSM Madurai campus is spread over an area of 17 acres with all the modern and updated infrastructure accessible for the students.TSM Madurai courses are offered at the PG level to interested candidates. It offers PGDM and MBA programmes with a two-year duration that are recognised by UGC. Admission to TSM Madurai flagship management programmes is based on scores from national entrance exams like the CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, or the state government's TANCET selection process. In addition to this, TSM Madurai provides Faculty Development Programme (FDP) and Management Development Programme (MDP) for working professionals. Students are called for final admission step based on their performance in the entrance exam, their academic background, and their GD PI- WAT.The TSM Madurai placements have been carried out and the T&P cell of the school works actively throughout the year. More than 100 recruiters participated in the TSM Madurai placement drive 2022. The highest salary package offered to the students was Rs 17.5 Lakhs per annum and the average salary package offered to the students was Rs 6.9 Lakhs per annum in the 2022 placement drive.
