About Symbiosis Institute of Technology
Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune was founded in 2008 as a part of Symbiosis International University. SIT Pune offers B. Tech programs in civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics & telecommunication engineering, mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence & machine learning, robotics & automation, and embedded systems. The institute also offers M. Tech programs in artificial intelligence & machine learning, robotics & automation, and embedded systems. In the faculty of engineering, the institute launched the PhD degree in 2010.Applicants for B.Tech are chosen based on their performance in the SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE), JEE (Main), or any state government engineering entrance examination, and only GATE-certified candidates are eligible for M.Tech admission. In 2021, Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune had a placement rate of 85% or above. In 2021, the maximum package offered was Rs 12 lakh per annum, whereas the average package stood at Rs 6.5 to 7 lakh per annum. SIT Pune top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, Amazon, Byjus, IBM, Accenture, Google, Microsoft, and many others. Students are trained in liberal arts, performing arts, industrial history, human values, and ethics, and are offered the opportunity to qualify for a special diploma and courses from other Symbiosis Institutes in order to realise the dream of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Sir, Chancellor of SIU and founder of Symbiosis, of producing highly qualified engineers. Engineering students at SIT can study product design, patents and copyrights, and a variety of other topics linked to engineering. SIT Pune students come from all over the country. They are always keen to enhance their regular education by working on technological projects, competing in competitions, organizing events, and so on.
