Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2006 under the aegis of the Thiru S Sengoda Gounder Educational & Charitable Trust. It is a private, autonomous college which is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college has been affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It has been recognised by UGC and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. It has been accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade as well as NBA. The institute's main goal is to develop technically superior and morally robust engineers who will revolutionise all aspects of life by educating students in technical knowledge and skills that are in line with industry demands.The Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 20 courses offered to students in the stream of engineering and technology. All of the college courses are available to students in a regular, offline mode. The Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology admission is offered to all of its programmes based on a candidate's performance in the relevant entrance exam and the most recent qualifying exam.
