Established in 1958 by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, Government of India, the college came under the affiliation of Delhi University in 1972 and became a co-educational institution in 1994. It is accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A++’ grade and recognised by the UGC. The Ramanujan College placement is conducted by its placement cell and the average package is Rs 4.25 lakh per annum followed by the highest package of Rs 8 lakh per annum. Some of the top recruiters include Paytm, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Flipkart, Amul, Amazon, etc.The college offers 16 UG courses in streams like arts, commerce, management, vocational studies, and, science. Ramanujan College course admissions for 2023 will be based on the CUET UG exam followed by the CSAS Counselling and Seat Allocation rounds. The degrees offered include B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BMS and B.Voc. The Ramanujan College fees range from Rs 45,000 to Rs 90,000 for three years approximately. Candidates can also get admission through the Sports and Extracurricular Activities quota. For such candidates, admission to Ramanujan College will be based on the combined scores of a Performance Test and CUET UG. The minimum requirement for the Performance Test will be 75% in this case and 25% for the CUET exam. The Ramanujan College NIRF ranking for 2024 for the ‘College’ category is 49th. The college has also signed MoUs with two international universities namely, MCI Management Centre Innsbruck, Austria and Western Sydney University, Australia for student exchange and other academic programmes. The Ramanujan College campus has all the necessary facilities available for the student's academic and holistic development. It consists of spacious classrooms, seminar halls, a cafeteria, a library, laboratories like a psychology lab, a language lab, an accounting and finance lab, a robotics lab and five fully air-conditioned computer labs.Sprawling over 7 acres of land, the Ramanujan College of DU in Kalkaji, New Delhi is the third largest college for commerce education among all the colleges of Delhi University.
