Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, also known as RIT India, is situated in Islampur and was established in 1983. The institute is part of one of the oldest conglomerates and is also an autonomous institute. The university has seen growth in placement and upliftment in the standard of education and learning under the supervision of principal Sushma Kulkarni.
