About NLU Assam
In the Law category of the NIRF Rankings 2023, National Law University and Judicial Academy has attained 28th rank. The National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam (NLU Assam) was established in 2009 by the Government of Assam. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Gauhati is the Chancellor of NLU Assam. The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to the aspirants in the field of law. NLU Assam offers nine courses across one stream. The vision of the university is to impart and evolve legal education and training at all levels and to achieve brilliance in the working of the Judicial Institution. It fosters different branches of law and aims at promoting legal, cultural and ethical values. The university’s motto is to endorse awareness in the sphere of law in the community so as to achieve economic and social justice. NLU Assam promotes and nurtures excellence and quality in legal research and studies.

NLU Assam fees range from Rs 55000 to Rs 184000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 9 courses at Ph.D, PG and UG programmes.
