
About NIFT Delhi
NIFT Delhi or National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi was established in 1986 to offer a learning experience of the highest standards in fashion including technology, design and management. It is an autonomous institute, accredited by AICTE and recognised by the Government of India. NIFT Delhi was granted statutory status in 2006 and is associated with the Ministry of Textiles. The students here are exposed to new challenges, methods, advancements, and practices in order to be prepared for the competitive world. The NIFT Delhi campus initially started functioning from a temporary two-room set-up in its formative years and shifted to a full-fledged campus in 1994. It is the largest campus that offers all programmes of NIFT i.e. seven bachelor's and three master's programmes and has the largest student strength.NIFT Delhi courses are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of design and communication. Some of the popular degrees offered are B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech and MFM. The courses offer both theoretical and practical training making students job-ready. The degrees awarded are given worldwide recognition. Every four years, the institute reviews its curriculum with feedback from the business community, alumni, internal research, visiting academics, and subject-matter experts. The NIFT Delhi courses fees range from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh approximately, varying depending on the degree level and the duration of the course opted for. Admission to these courses is based on the candidates' previous academic merit and the scores obtained by them in the entrance exams. The college conducts its own entrance test which is to be taken by the students for securing a seat during the NIFT Delhi admissions. The entrance exam will be followed by a group discussion (GD) and a personal interview (PI) session. The National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi scholarships is provided based on the academic merit of the students. The campus has all the necessary facilities for the students such as seminar halls, conference halls, fully equipped labs, classrooms, resource centres, and semi-furnished and fully air-conditioned hostels. The NIFT Delhi facility for laboratories includes separate labs for computer, art, photography, pattern making, knitwear, leather design and many more.
