Headquartered in New Delhi, the National Institute of Fashion Technology is an autonomous institute with excellent courses in Fashion, Design, Management, and Technology courses. Established in 1986, the institute became a statutory institution in 2006 by an Act of Parliament in India. With 17 campuses across India, the institute is a true pioneer in the fashion industry and fashion education. The institute has campuses in places like Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kangra, Jodhpur, Kannur, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Patna, Panchkula, Shillong, Raebareli, and Srinagar. In addition, the institute has a campus in Shillong, which was established in June 2008. NIFT entrance exam is scheduled for February 05, 2023. The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shillong, has a beautiful campus and eye-soothing view. It is one of the first fashion institutes in North-East India. Set amid the midst of mountains, it sprawls over a large area. The institution has been in a close relationship with different Art and Design sectors all across the country. The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to students. In addition to workshops and design interventions, the university provides excellent placement possibilities to students and fosters continuous growth in the industry.   National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shillong courses include four UG courses, namely- Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Accessory Design, and Textile Design.
