The "The Mangalayatan University, Uttar Pradesh Act, 2006" established the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) member Mangalayatan University (MU) Aligarh. Authorities including the UGC, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), and Pharmacy Council of India have all given their regulatory clearance to all of the programmes that MU offers (PCI).
