About Karunya University

Karunya University has started its admission process for 2024. KEE for BTech and BSc Agriculture courses will be conducted on June 07, 2024, for the fifth slot. As for MBA admission at Karunya University, Karunya Management Exam (KMAT) 2024 slot four will be conducted on June 07, 2024. Karunya University was founded in 1986 as an engineering college by the late Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and the present chancellor, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran. In 1999, the UGC (University Grants Commission) declared it a deemed-to-be university. The UGC granted the university an autonomous status in recognition of its academic excellence by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India. Karunya University is accredited by NAAC with an “A++” grade. A lot of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral Karunya University courses are offered to candidates in the branches of engineering, biotechnology, food processing, and agricultural sciences. The placement cell of Karunya University is very active and hosts many leading companies for recruitment drive such as Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, and more.The university was opened with a capacity for 180 students, today has a student body of over 7482 and a staff of about 397. The college has 18 academic departments in total. The institute is committed to executing its founders' vision. The Coimbatore-based Karunya University conducts research and development for issues relating to food, water, energy, and healthcare. KITS is the institute's commonly used name (Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences). Karunya University courses are offered for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees. Graduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, the arts, and science are offered at the university. The university also provides management and agricultural programmes. For BTech and BSc admissions, it administers the Karunya Entrance Examination (KEE), and for MBA admissions, the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT).
