Kanpur Institute of Technology was founded in 2004 by a team of visionary and motivated IIT alumni. The institute is affiliated to the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (formerly U.P.T.U., Lucknow) with College Code 165. The KIT Kanpur courses here are certified by AICTE or  All India Council for Technical Education and PCI or Pharmacy Council of India. Situated in Rooma, on Kanpur – Allahabad Highway, 6 Kilometers, the institute is accessible for quality. It is known as one of the best technical institutes in North India.  The main vision of Kanpur Institute of Technology is to transform ignited minds into technocrats and managers, globally competitive, highly skilled with a positive mindset, responsive to the social needs and respect human values and work as a cohesive team to contribute to the needs of the country and world at large.
