The Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore is among one of the top ten IHMs in the country. Located amidst the lush green environs, this institute’s journey began in 1969. It started as a Food Craft Institute offering short-term courses and in 1983, the college changed its name to its present name and currently offers a 3-year degree programme in Hotel and Hospitality Administration. Presently, the institute is seen as one of the premier hospitality institutes in the country. Students from diverse backgrounds are a part of IHM Bangalore and the institute prides itself on its curriculum. It has managed to maintain its reputation over the years and IHM alumni are all well-placed in some of the leading hotels in India and abroad. IHM Bangalore has a well-stocked library with all the latest books, journals on Tourism, Hospitality, Travel and Management. For the training of the students, there is an advanced training kitchen, a quantity training kitchen, bakery and a basic training kitchen. The M.Sc course offered by IHM Mumbai is a healthy mix of intensive classroom teaching, industry mentorship, self-learning and counselling sessions.
