Indraprastha College for Women, also known as IP College or Indraprastha College was established in 1924. It is a constituent college of Delhi University (DU) and is considered one of the top colleges providing higher education for women. Indraprastha College is approved by the AICTE and accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.33. One of the oldest colleges under DU, it has a student strength of 3,500 students. Indraprastha College is ranked IN 101-150 rank band in the College category by NIRF Ranking 2024. The IP College for Women also has an active Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC).The Indraprastha College courses are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in fields like science, humanities, liberal arts, computer science, literature and commerce. Admission to these courses is based on previous academic merit and the scores obtained in the entrance exams. The exams accepted for Indraprastha College admissions are CUET for UG courses and CUET PG for PG courses.The IP College fees range from Rs 24,000 - Rs 3.08 Lakh, varying based on the degree level opted for. The college also offers several scholarships for meritorious students to support their education. The Indraprastha College placements are conducted through their dedicated training and placement cell. Students after completing their fourth year are able to participate in the campus placement drives. With a placement percentage of 80%, Indraprastha College's highest salary offered to the students was Rs 21 LPA. Some of the top recruiters taking part in the IP College placement drives are Deloitte, Capgemini, Netflix, DE Shaw, CNBC, PwC, Avian Media, HSBC, Wipro, SAP Labs, TCS, etc.IP College for Women also has a highly experienced and cooperative faculty, providing proper guidance at all times. The Indraprastha College campus also ensures that students get all the necessary facilities for their academic and holistic development. Some of these facilities include a well-stocked library with magazines, newspapers, journals and electronic study materials as well. For sports, students are provided with indoor and outdoor games facilities including a badminton court, tennis court, basketball court, cricket ground, football ground, etc. The IP College campus also has a gym and a climbing wall.
