About IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi was established in 1961 as the College of Engineering in Delhi. Later, it was recognised as an “Institution of National Importance” and renamed the “Indian Institute of Delhi.” The institute has a campus of 325 acres, a student intake of 7784, and 750+ faculty members. It also has two other satellite campuses at Jhajjar and Sonepat. IIT Delhi admission to different courses is offered through various entrance examinations like GATE, CAT, JAM, and JEE Main. B.Tech is the flagship course of the institute. Other popular courses include M.Tech, MBA, MSc, etc. The IIT Delhi offers 85+ courses at the UG, PG, and PhD levels through its 16 departments. In the NIRF Ranking 2024, IIT Delhi secured 4th rank in the overall category, 2nd in the engineering category, 4th in Management, 3rd in Research, and 7th in the innovation category. In the QS World University Ranking 2024, the institute has secured 197th position. The highest package offered for the 2023 IIT Delhi placements was Rs 2 crore per annum. Over 1300 job offers were made and around 260 students have received pre-placement offers.

IIT Delhi admissions are ongoing. For B.Tech admissions, JEE Main 2025 is scheduled between April 01- 08, 2025, while JEE Advanced 2025 will be held on May 18, 2025. Courses and Fees
IIT Delhi fees range from Rs 20000 to Rs 810000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 123 courses at UG, PG, Ph.D and Certificate programmes. Furthermore, IIT Delhi offers 14 courses in B.Tech, 5 courses in B.Tech+M.Tech at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specializations - 43 courses in M.Tech, 14 course in MS. Admission to IIT Delhi courses are open for the academic year 2024-25. For admission the college conducts JEE Advanced. In addition to this, scores of CEED, JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM are accepted by IIT Delhi.
