About IIIT Guwahati

IIIT Guwahati has started engineering admissions for the academic year 2024-25. NTA released the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 result on April 24, 2024. Candidates can check their results on jeemainsession2.ntaonline.in. IIIT Guwahati admission 2024 for B.Tech is based on JEE Main scores and will be followed by a counselling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). JoSAA 2024 registration will start on June 10, 2024.Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati is one of the 20 institutes of National Importance that was set up by the government of India. IIIT Guwahati was founded in the year 2013. It has recently moved to its new campus in Guwahati, 4 km away from the Guwahati airport. The IIIT Guwahati offers students with graduate and postgraduate degrees, i.e. B.Tech and M.Tech only. Other than these, IIIT Guwahati also provides the option of choosing a research programme, i.e. PhD programme. There are four different academic departments at the IIIT Guwahati which are taught across all the various courses offered at IIIT Guwahati. The IIIT Guwahati aims to provide its students with sound knowledge in the technical field. The curriculum of IIIT Guwahati is designed in such a way that allows for the strengthening of the fundamental concepts of the technical fields. IIIT Guwahati also aspires to imbibe a spirit of research in its students. At the IIIT Guwahati, the students are subject to gaining knowledge and experience through the extensive teaching of their particular field. The students are provided with an experience that they can gain from inside the classroom as well as outside it. The IIIT also promotes extra-curricular activities for the students to take part in during their stay at the Institute. They believe that along with the academic growth of the student, the other areas of a student’s life should also be given emphasis. The IIIT Guwahati Campus is well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. The campus comes equipped with all the necessary infrastructure for the overall development of the student.

IIIT Guwahati admission is open for the 2024 academic session. For B.Tech admission, the JEE Main session 1 exam is expected to be held by the last week of January 2025 and the JEE Advanced exam is expected to be held on the 3rd week of May 2025; for M.Tech admission, GATE exams will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The fees for B.Tech is Rs 10,00,000 annually and IIIT Guwahati fees for M.Tech courses is Rs 3,00,000-4,00,000 annually.

Courses and Fees

IIIT Guwahati fees range from Rs 300000 to Rs 1000000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 5 courses at PG and UG programmes. Furthermore, IIIT Guwahati offers 2 courses in B.Tech at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specializations - 2 courses in M.Tech, 1 course in M.E.. Admission to IIIT Guwahati courses are open for the academic year 2024-25. For admission the college conducts JEE Main. In addition to this, scores of JEE Advanced, GATE are accepted by IIIT Guwahati.
