Established in 2001, the Heritage Institute of Technology is a private institution in Kolkata managed by Kalyan Bharti Trust. It has been affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The institute is accredited by NAAC and NBA and is approved by the AICTE. Heritage Institute of Technology ranked within the band 201-250 among all Engineering Universities by NIRF 2022.Located in Kolkata, the Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K) stands as a prominent institution of higher education, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development of its students. HIT-K courses offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various engineering disciplines. The Trust encompasses six wings, namely The Heritage School (THS), Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K), The Heritage Academy (THA), Heritage Business School (HBS), Heritage Law College (HLC), and The Heritage College (THC).
