GNDU, also known as Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, was established in 1969. The university is approved by UGC and has received the NAAC accreditation with ‘A++’ Grade. GNDU is a government university having regional campuses in Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Fattu Dhinga, and Sathiala. GNDU is among the top north Indian universities with a score of 3.85 out of 4.0 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). GNDU courses offer a wide variety of academic options to students. The university provides 110+  certificate, diploma, UG, PG, and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of engineering, law, commerce, education, humanities, computer applications, management, architecture, pharmacy, and more. Along with these regular courses, GNDU has established the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (ODL) for students willing to pursue education through online/distance mode. Moreover, the GNDU scholarship is offered to meritorious, handicapped, and economically weak students to offer financial assistance to complete their studies. According to the report of GNDU placement in recent session, 652 students got placed during the annual placement session. The GNDU average package offered was Rs 6.40 LPA while the highest package offered was Rs 18.43 LPA. 

Summary

Guru Nanak Dev University admissions are based on the entrance exam and qualifying exam. B.Tech admission is based on JEE Main. The JEE Main 2025 application form have to be filled by February 2025. The B.Tech programme is offered in 16 specialisations. For admissions to M.Tech courses, GATE scores will be released on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. GNDU fees range from Rs 5,200 to Rs 10,29,000 annually.
