The foundation of Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) was laid in 2005 by a group of ambitious leaders with an aim to provide high quality education and achieve recognition at national and international level under the leadership of the director of  the Jagannath Institute for Technology and Management (JITM).  JITM was subsequently transformed into Centurion University of Technology and Management in August 2010 through an act of the Odisha Legislative Assembly and became the first multi sector state private university in Odisha.CUTM, Vizianagaram is a sister university of CUTM Odisha, that was founded in the year 2017 by the Centurion School of Rural Enterprise Management Trust.  The university was established with an aim to offer employment-linked education and to ensure that money is not a hindrance for higher education for those who are financially less strong. Over the years, Centurion University has managed to train and link with over 80,000 students who are economically weak.  A wide range of courses at the Centurion University which includes certificate courses, diploma course, undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Centurion University ensures that every student of the university has relevant hands-on knowledge and skills required at the workplace. A student at the Centurion University gets an opportunity to learn from high skilled faculty who are committed to see their students succeed at personal and professional level.  The vision of the university is to become a centre of excellence and achieve sustainable livelihoods in the less developed markets across the globe. They try to achieve their goal by offering accredited technology and management programmes. They have the provision to offer globally accredited employability training to less endowed segments of the population. It also promotes entrepreneurial culture and enterprise as well as lighthouse project interventions in the target area. They also aim at facilitating improved access of goods and financial services in the market.
