Baddi University of Emerging Sciences & Technology (BUEST) popularly known as Baddi University is a private university established in 2002 and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Earlier it was known as Institute of Engineering and Emerging Technology (IEET). It got university status in the year 2009. The university is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Baddi University secured 146th position out of 171 colleges in India in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) Ranking 2023.The university has seven schools offering BTech, BCA, BCom, BPharm, MBA, MSc, MCA, MTech, PhD etc. courses. School of Management Studies (SMS), School of Sciences (SOS), School of Pharmacy Emerging Sciences (SPES) are some of the Baddi University schools. School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES) of BUEST is considered one of India's best Pharmacy Institutes by a survey conducted by AICTE in collaboration with CII.The Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HP PERC) has approved the BTech and MTech courses at the Baddi University. The university accepts national/state level entrance exam scores and also conducts the BUEST entrance exam for admission. The 40 acres Baddi University campus has Smart Classrooms, an auditorium, state-of-the-art laboratories, a library, gym, and sports facilities that include badminton & tennis courts, a basketball court, football, and cricket fields.
