Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies is a reputed B school run by the Coimbatore Education Foundation. It got approval by AICTE in 2012-2013.VIMS offers a management course, a full-time two-year MBA programme affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Once the student completes the first year of the course, the MBA curriculum can be customized by selecting electives which a student will enjoy and which will help the student further in the career. VIMS also organizes out-bound training programmes as a part of the MBA course, and to get practical exposure, students also undertake a summer internship for 6-8 weeks as well as a project for 6 months. There are various specialisations which the students pursuing MBA from VIMS can pursue. Those are Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Systems Management, Operations Management (including SCM and Logistics), and Financial Management.
