Vel Tech is a private deemed to-be university, established in 2008. The university has been recognised by UGC as the “Category 1 Deemed to be University” and approved by AICTE, New Delhi as well. It is also accredited by NAAC with an “A++” grade along with NBA. The university has been recognised and endowed with several awards and is well-known for its renowned educational practices. The university not only aims to promote educational knowledge to the students but also aims to create up-skilled graduates with a professional attitude who are industry-ready. As per the NIRF ranking 2023, Vel Tech has secured the 87th rank in the engineering category and 101st rank out of 200 colleges in the overall category. The Vel Tech University courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. There are a total of 60 courses offered to students in the stream such as engineering, technology, management, science and more. All the courses are offered in offline, regular mode. The Vel Tech Chennai admission to these courses is offered on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam along with the last qualifying exam.
