Takshashila University was established in the year 2022 and is situated at Tindivanam, Bangalore. It is a state-private university. The university was established under Tamil Nadu Private Universities Act 2019. It has been recognised by UGC and also been approved by the AICTE as well as the Government of Tamilnadu. The university offers admission to the students for both genders i.e. girls and boys. The campus area of Takshashila University is spread over an area of more than 150 acres.
