Sri Venkateswara University is a public research university in Tirupati Andhra Pradesh. The university campus has a large plot of land granted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The university was founded in 1954 and is flanked by other educational institutions such as the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, and the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, and the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam. It is recognised by the UGC and approved by AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India, NCTE, Bar Council of India, and South Eastern Regional Office (SERO). It also has been accredited by NAAC with a grade of 'A+'.  SVU Tirupati campus facilities include a library that has a membership of 6,397 people. It is housed in a large structure with 400 readers. The university employs 50 administrative or support personnel and 25 professionals. THE World University Rankings 2023:  The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 has been released. It includes 1,799 universities from 104 countries and regions. This year's rankings are the biggest and most diverse ever, and they give a thorough evaluation of universities all over the world. Sri Venkateswara University secured a position in the 1201- 1500 band.It is also Andhra Pradesh's second-oldest institution, after Andhra University. There are four colleges at the university: the College of Arts, the College of Science, the College of Commerce, Management & Computer Sciences, and the College of Engineering. Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati courses are offered in 76 postgraduate programmes in various fields. The popular courses include business administration, sciences, arts, humanities, and social sciences, law, education, commerce, medical and allied sciences, computer applications, pharmacy, and other fields. SVU Tirupati postgraduate programmes are offered in full-time mode. M.B.A., M.Sc., L.L.M., M.A., M.Com, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.C.A, M.Pharma, and P.G.D. are some of the PG programmes offered at SVU Tirupati. The SVU Tirupati fee structure differs depending on the course.SVU Tirupati admissions to all PG courses at the university are handled by the Directorate of Admissions (DOA). Candidates must have to appear in the SVUCET common entrance test in order to get admission to the offered postgraduate programmes. The SVU Tirupati placement cell conducts a full-fledged recruiting campaign for each and every SVU student. The placements at SVU Tirupati placement cell are led by a teacher nominated by the principal and supported by an office assistant. This is a student-led activity. The SVU Tirupati employment cell invites numerous reputable corporations and organisations. In 2020, the cell for SVU Tirupati placement achieved the highest salary of Rs 6 Lakhs per annum for technical courses. Over 60% of students were placed, and corporates such as Cognizant, Dell, IBM, and Wipro, among others, visited the Sri Venkateswara University campus for placement.
