Sathaye College grants admission to the UG and PG courses based on the merit of the qualifying examination. A merit list is released by the college based on the marks obtained in the examination to determine admission. Sathaye College merit list is to be released in the last week of August 2024 (tentative). It is mandatory for all students to qualify for the merit list to proceed with the admission process.Sathaye College, formerly called Parle College, was established in 1959 by Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association (PTVA). Initially, the college started as an art and science college, and the commerce faculty was introduced in 1982. Later in the period between 2001 to 2006, the college started offering the Sathaye College courses in disciplines such as sociology, microbiology, and psychology. Sathaye College is affiliated with the University of Mumbai for the courses leading to BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Sc (IT), BMS., BAMMC (Marathi), M.Sc (IT), M.Sc (Chemistry and Botany), and MA (Hindi and Buddhist Studies). Moreover, the college was thrice accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade in 2004, 2011, and 2017, leading to its status as an autonomous institution. Moreover, the University of Mumbai awarded the college in January 2015 as ‘Best College of Mumbai University (urban)’ for 2013-14.The list of Sathaye College courses includes degree courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of arts, science, commerce, media and journalism, and management. The Sathaye College campus is located in the cultural hub of suburbs Vile Parle, Mumbai. The campus sports state-of-art infrastructure for several curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, making it a premier destination for higher education.
