National Institute of Design Vijayawada was established in September 2015. Located at Guntur - Vijayawada Highway, Andhra Pradesh, National Institute of Design, National Institute of Design is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.NID Vijayawada provides admission in Graduate programmes in Design with different specialisations Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile & Apparel Design. For admission, students have to take the Design Aptitude Test(DAT), a common entrance exam for design students. The present intake for the program is 60. The campus of NID Vijayawada is rich in many modern facilities like Textile and Apparel studios, Visual Communication studios, Knowledge Management Centre (KMC), 3D printing Labs, IT labs, Prototype, Ceramics and Industrial design studios. The residential facility at the campus is provided to students including a 24/7 medical facility, Post Office, ATM, and doctor on call.
