Narasaraopeta Institute of Technology, Guntur, popularly known as NIT, was established in the year 2008 by "Gayatri Educational Development Soceity" in Yalamanda village, Narasaraopet Mandal of Guntur district. It was founded by Sri.Mittapalli Venkata Koteswarao, Chairman. In the midst of the lush greenery of birch and cotton fields of Yalamanda Village 5 km from Narasaraopet, the Narasaraopeta Institute of Technology campus offers a scenic and serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life.The institute is approved by AICTE and has four undergrads and two postgrad programmes in engineering and management (MBA). These Narasaraopeta Institute of Technology courses are affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. There are over 1200 students taking part in various programmes at NIT. The faculty and students are treated as family members, and the college supports the idea of the workplace as an abode of home.
