The institute was established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society. The institute is affiliated to Jagannath University, Bahadurgarh. Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences is recognised by UGC. and is a recognised provider of vocational degree programs (B.Voc) in collaboration with Jagannath University, Bahadurgarh. JIMS is also accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as a Skill Knowledge Provider (SKP) and is also a training partner of the Media and Entertainment Skill Council (MESC).Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences courses are offered in the fields of management, information technology, journalism & mass communication, hotel management, and interior design. The institute offers all courses at Bachelor levels only.Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences admission to its courses is done on the basis of entrance exam scores. The exams accepted by the institute for admission include CET/ UGAT/ CUET/ JIMS Entrance Test (JET).
