The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Delhi, commonly known as Pusa Institute, is India's national institute for agriculture research, education and extension. The institute was established on April 1, 1905. It has a campus area of 500 hectares, and it is located approximately eight km west of the new Delhi railway station. It is financed and administered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).The ICAR-IARI Delhi campus provides high-quality facilities and has experienced faculties. ASRB examination centre, Phytotron facility, Pesticide Referral Laboratory, SEM facility, Library services, and Farm Machinery Testing facility are among the top-notch facilities available here.The Indian Agricultural Research Institute courses are offered at postgraduate degree levels, these include M.Sc, M.Tech and PhD. Admission to these courses is based on an entrance examination undertaken by the Education Division of ICAR, past academic merit is also considered and on the basis of these, the ICAR finalizes the admission.Admission to the ICAR-IARI Delhi PhD courses is made on the basis of the performance of candidates in the written entrance examination (80% weightage)+academic score (10% weightage)+interview (10% weightage).The Indian Agricultural Research Institute fees for the courses offered are moderate ranging from Rs 27,000 to Rs 43,000 (annually) approximately.
