IIT Guwahati has opened its admission process for the academic session 2025-2026. UCEED 2025 results will be released on March 7, 2025. Candidates with valid UCEED 2025 scores are eligible for BDes admission 2025. CEED results 2025 willl be announced at the same time. From April 1 to 8, 2025, JEE Main April Session is to be held. Registration for JEE Advanced 2025 is to begin on April 23, 2025. JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates have to take the JEE Advanced 2025, followed by JoSAA counselling for final admission to B.Tech in IIT Guwahati.Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, popularly known as IIT Guwahati, was founded in 1994 as part of the prestigious IITs. It has been able to construct a world-class infrastructure for advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments in less than a decade. The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati campus is spread out across a 285-hectare piece of land. It is 20 kilometres from the city that students can reach it via university transport. Summary

IIT Guwahati Engineering admission is based on the entrance exam and qualifying exam. The college provides B.Des, B.Tech, M.Des, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech+PhD, MA, and MS. B.Tech admission is based on JEE Advanced, which is expected to be held in May 2025. M.Tech, M.Tech+PhD and M.Des admission is based on GATE, for which the exam will be held on dates 1,2,15 and 16 February 2025. The IIT Guwahati fee ranges from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,00,000 annually.

Courses and Fees

IIT Guwahati fees range from Rs 6000 to Rs 800000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 33 courses at UG and PG programmes. Furthermore, IIT Guwahati offers 15 courses in B.Tech, 1 courses in B.Des at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specializations - 10 courses in M.Tech, 3 course in MSc. Admission to IIT Guwahati courses are open for the academic year 2024-25. For admission the college conducts CEPT. In addition to this, scores of GATE, JEE Advanced, NID, CEED, JEE Main, IIT JAM, UCEED are accepted by IIT Guwahati.

Scholarships

Eligibility:

The scholarship scheme is applicable to students pursuing B.Tech/ B.Des/ M.Sc/ M.A. at IIT Guwahati. The scholarship is awarded to year-wise class toppers of all streams from the second year.

Benefits:

The selected students will get a tuition fee waiver for two semesters. The candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 500 per month.

Eligibility:

The scholarship scheme is application to SC/ ST category students pursuing B.Tech/ B.Des/ M.Sc/ M.A The annual income of parents should not be more than Rs. 4,50,000.

Benefits:

The selected students will get a tuition fee waiver for two semesters. The candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 1000 per month.

Eligibility:

The scholarship scheme is application to SC/ ST category students pursuing B.Tech/ B.Des/ M.Sc/ M.A The annual income of parents should not be more than Rs. 4,50,000

Benefits:

Fixed stipend per month for two semesters (August-November & January-April totalling 8 months) of Rs. 250 per month. xa0 Free messing (only for the basic menu) Exemption from hostel room rent Tuition fees are waived for all SC/ST students by the statues irrespective of availing SC-ST scholarship or not.
